Editing XLIFF documents

XLIFF is a interchange format for translating documents that is supported by Counterparts Lite.

Counterparts Lite is suitable for editing translations in XLIFF documents produced by Xcode and other tools that only use unsegmented plain text in translation units. It cannot be used to create XLIFF documents nor add or remove entries to existing documents.

The editing window for XLIFF documents contains three columns. You can hide the key column to only show the reference and translation. You can also change the translation language of the file.

XLIFF documents can contain strings extracted from various files. Header rows within the table indicate the beginning of each extracted file to let you see from where each string comes from.
